Short description of the master´s programme | Informatics and Econometrics (I&E) Master Programme has been run for a number of years and became the base of professional careers for hundreds of graduates. It trains the practitioners across core disciplines of mathematics, statistics and IT, and highly developed critical thinking, problem-solving and communication skills. Both, students and employers, highlight wide courses offer, excellent teaching standards, and ability to combine academic knowledge with up-to-date socio-economic issues. The assets we offer are: widely recognised M.Sc. Programme (A+ Accreditation, 120 ECTS, min. 6 weeks internships), courses prepared with practitioners, long-term scientific and training cooperation with Official Statistics entities, experience in international educational projects, excellent IT facilities. The EMOS Programme is built on one of two basic modules of I&E which is called Analytical Economics. Many of the requested EMOS learning outcomes are currently supported by I&E courses including advanced statistical, demographic and econometric methods, survey sampling, small area estimation (SAE). The newly added offer for the EMOS students includes courses strictly meeting the EMOS learning outcomes such as official statistics - international and national regulations, methodology of data collection and processing, official statistics and applications. |

The requested EMOS learning outcomes are currently supported by I&E courses (38 ECTS) including advanced statistical, demographic and econometric methods, survey sampling, SAE and Official Statistics issues. The newly added offer for the EMOS students includes courses strictly meeting the EMOS outcomes (14 ECTS): Official Statistics - International and National Regulations, Methodology of Data Collection and Processing, Official Statistics – Applications. There are also some general courses that meet the EMOS learning outcomes (27 ECTS). The total coverage of courses reaching EMOS learning outcomes is 79 ECTS.
30 ECTS is allocated to Master Thesis: the seminars and colloquium (cooperation with Statistics Poland - NSI, public institutions and NGO). The MSc Programme is supported by at least 6 weeks of internship 4 ECTS (in collaboration with the NSI and its offices, public and business entities). |
