12th EMOS Workshop Venue

SCHOOL OF ECONOMICS AND MANAGEMENT OF THE UNIVERSITY OF PORTO (FEP)

The workshop will take place at the School of Economics and Management of the University of Porto (FEP). The venue is part of the University of Porto campus and is easily accessible by metro, bus, and taxi.

How to get to the workshop venue, FEP.

From Porto Airport – Francisco Sá Carneiro Airport (OPO)

By METRO (fastest route: approx. 60 min commute)

  • Take Metro Line E (Purple Line) towards Estádio do Dragão. 
  • Get off at Trindade station (15 stops). 
  • Change to Metro Line D (Yellow Line) towards Hospital São João. 
  • Get off at Polo Universitário station (5 stops). 
  • Approx. 9-minute walk to the venue. 

By BUS (approx. 45–60 min commute)

  • Take a Rede Expressos bus to Polo Universitário (several routes are available, depending on your departure time).
  • Get off at Porto Polo Universitário. 
  • Approx. 7-minute walk to the venue. 

By TAXI / Ride-sharing

  • Approx. 15–20 minutes, depending on traffic. 

     

From Porto City Centre

By METRO

  • Take Metro Line D to Polo Universitário. 

By BUS

  • Several STCP bus lines connect the city centre with the university area. 

On FOOT

  • Not recommended due to distance (approximately 4–5 km).  

     

From Hotel Vila Galé Porto

By METRO (approx. 25–40 min commute)

  • Take Metro Line A, B, C, E or F to Trindade station. 
  • Change to Metro Line D (Yellow Line) towards Hospital São João. 
  • Get off at Polo Universitário station (5 stops). 
  • Short walk to the venue. 

By TAXI / Ride-sharing

  • Approx. 10–25 minutes, depending on traffic. 

     

From Hotel Ibis Porto São João

R. Dr. Plácido da Costa, 4200-450 Porto, Portugal

On FOOT

  • Approximately 10–15 minutes walk to the venue. 

Local Transport

Porto offers an efficient public transport network:

  • Metro do Porto (recommended for airport and campus access) 
  • STCP bus network, connecting all major areas
  • Andante Card, available for convenient travel across metro and buses

Notes

Participants are encouraged to check transport schedules in advance and allow additional travel time during peak hours.
