By the deadline in October 2024, the call for submissions of the 2025 edition of the master’s thesis competition had attracted 21 submissions from thirteen universities and eight countries (six submissions from Italy, three submissions from each the Netherlands and France, two from each Portugal, Greece and Germany, one submission from each Luxembourg and Belgium, as well as one submission from a student of a double degree at an Italian and a German university).
The EMOS Board carried out the assessment of the submissions, out of which they selected six thesis authors. All six winners were invited to attend the Conference on New Techniques and Technologies for Statistics (NTTS) in Brussels in the first half of March 2025, including the MTC award ceremony which took place on 13 March 2025. The winning theses of the fourth edition are:
