What inspired you to choose an EMOS-labelled master’s programme for your studies?
During my bachelor's degree in economics I developed a passion for statistics and, in particular, official statistics, due to its reliability and relevance for economic analysis. The EMOS-labelled master's programme combines this aspect with the promising opportunity to obtain a traineeship in an official statistics institution, which is a notable strating point for my future career.

Have you already completed your EMOS internship? Please share any interesting insights gained during your internship.
I am currently doing my EMOS internship at the European Central Bank, as a trainee in the Directorate General Statistics. This traineeship is giving me the possibility to grow both professionally and personally, allowing me to work side by side with colleagues who are very knowledgeable and willing to pass that knowledge. I am also grateful for the opportunity to delve deeper into the mechanisms behind the production of official statistics and to give my contribution to this process.

Would you recommend a fellow student to choose the EMOS track at your university?
Yes, I would recommend it firstly because of the traineeship opportunities. I think that obtaining an internship in an official statistics institution allows you to get in touch and learn from very experienced professionals while being in contact also with other EMOS students that are sharing the same experience. Another reason why I would recommend it is the possibility to specialize even more than with a simple master's program. This could be very helpful in starting a career, not only in official statistics institutions, but also in other sectors, because of the additional skills built with the projects related to this label.

Has your EMOS study experience prepared you for your future academic and career pursuits?
Yes, it has. The EMOS activities, combined with other activities during my master's degree surely helped my preparation for my future career pursuits. Moreover, I think that the EMOS label was one of the determinants of my selection for my current traineeship, thus helping me at this very initial and delicate phase of my career.
