Public Use Files (public microdata) moved
The Public Use Files (public microdata) have now moved from the project environment to the production environment on Eurostat's website. Gradually more data will become available (more countries and more years). Access no longer requires registration.
Public Use Files (PUFs) consist of sets of records containing information on individual persons, households, or business entities (microdata). The files are created to allow the general public to get familiar with statistical microdata files. The files are prepared in such a way that individual entities cannot be identified; this goes with a loss in information value.
The Centre of Excellence on Statistical Disclosure Control has created Public Use Files (PUFs) for the Labour Force Survey (LFS) and for the EU Statistics on Income and Living Conditions (EU-SILC). Only the microdata files for the countries that participated in the Centre of Excellence will become available on this site, namely: Austria, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, the Netherlands, and Slovenia.
To this publication of Public Use Files, the Legal notice with a disclaimer, copyright notice and rules related to personal data protection applies.
