User rights are managed in EDAMIS and are synchronised with the ESS-MH every day. Synchronisations between EDAMIS and ESS-MH take place at 12:00 and 20:00.
When a user logs in to ESS-MH the following scenarios may occur:
The user can successfully log in to ESS-MH and has access to required Metadata flows and files.
No further intervention required.
The user can successfully log in to ESS-MH but does not have access to the required metadata files.
Please log in to EDAMIS.
Request rights on metadatasets > Further information can be found at EDAMIS Explanatory videos and ESS-MH Account – Access requests.
The user cannot log in to ESS-MH with the following message appearing on the screen:
Your username is not registered in ESS-MH. Please consult ESS-MH Frequently asked questions > User access issues to ESS-MH for further assistance.
Three issues could have caused this:
The synchronisation between EDAMIS and ESS-MH did not take place yet, therefore the user is not updated accordingly.
After the acceptance notification from EDAMIS, the next user rights synchronisation needs to be awaited.
Please log in to ESS-MH after the next planned synchronisation (after 12:00 or after 20:00).
The user is already registered in EDAMIS, but never logged in to either EDAMIS or ESS-MH, thus the synchronisation was not activated.
The first failed log in attempt in ESS-MH will trigger the activation of the synchronisation. Please log in to ESS-MH after the next planned synchronisation (after 12:00 or after 20:00).
If the problem persists after the next synchronisation, please log in to EDAMIS to double check your rights.
You may request the required rights on metadatasets, if not yet granted. > Further information can be found at EDAMIS Explanatory videos and ESS-MH Account – Access requests.
The user is not registered in EDAMIS.
