EU Login will phase out 2-factor authentication by SMS in June 2025. If you currently use 2-factor authentication by SMS to access our applications, you must select an alternative method before the deadline to maintain access.
Access to Eurostat's tools for data and metadata exchange (EDAMIS, ESS Metadata Handler, SDMX Converter Web App) requires you to have an EU Login account with at least one 2-factor authentication (2FA) method enabled.
If you do not have an EU Login account yet please refer to the EU Login tutorial which will guide you through creating an account.
Additionally, for detailed instructions on setting up 2-factor authentication, please check our EU Login 2FA step-by-step guide available at the bottom of this page. You may also want to watch the explanatory videos on how to use the available 2-factor authentication methods, via EU Login app, TPM (Trusted Platform Module), and eID.
Should you experience issues accessing the application please read the troubleshooting guidelines. Alternatively, you can contact Eurostat's data and metadata team.
