Estadística de nulidades, separaciones y divorcios
Abstract
This statistical operation is undertaken in collaboration with the General Council of the Spanish Judiciary by virtue of the Agreement entered by and between the National Statistics Institute and the former 14 February 1995.
The statistical research aims to study disolutory processes of marital relationships, in agreement with the regulatory laws on the matter.
It has been considered appropriate, taking into account the existing social demand, to enhance the statistical information that was being made available, by enriching it with an operation of greater analitical interest.
Since 1 January 2007, the INE has undertaken to improve this statistical research, that affects both the collection method (by implementing a web questionnaire) and the updates of bulletin contents (incorporating new variables such as the nationality of the spouse and the custody of the children) which will in a near future translate in to an improvement of the quality of this statistics.
