Now in its fourth edition, the workshop brings together experts specializing in methodologies applied to official statistics, with the aim of fostering the exchange of ideas and best practices through contributions from various international contexts.
The workshop programme focuses on topics related to the potential benefits for official statistics arising from the application of new methods and approaches developed in other statistical domains – from advanced data analysis models to the opportunities offered by Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML).
In addition, the workshop includes in-depth discussions on multi-source statistics and the implementation of methods for official statistics within an open-source framework.
The workshop is organised into four sessions:
- Statistical models for official statistics (Session organised in collaboration with the International Association of Survey Statisticians – IASS);
- AI/ML for official statistics;
- Multi-source analysis for official statistics;
- Open-source software implementing statistical methods for official statistics.
Each session consists of master classes and invited speakers.
