Q: How should I structure tables in my content?
A: Use the built-in table feature to create tables, and ensure that the first row is properly marked as a header. For matrix tables that have both a 1st row and 1st column crossing headers, both must be marked as such via the built-in feature of your editor.
Option 1:
In ESS-MH, in the Editing wizard, Select the first row, and click on Table cell Properties. Then Cell Type choose Header. Same to be done for the 1st column if we want to mark it as a header.

Option 2:
In case, the first row / column are not yet formatted as “Header” according to the Table cell Properties (see above) and are not in font style “bold”, you may click in one cell of the first row and / or column and select

This way, automatically the <thead> and <th> tags are added to the html.
