Since 2021, Eurostat has been diligently working on a significant project — developing a general Data Acquisition Service (DAS). This service is designed to acquire information from the Web, a process instrumental in creating new or augmenting existing statistics. The DAS is a key component of the Web Intelligence Hub (WIH). This platform aims to provide the essential building blocks for harvesting information from the Web, thereby enhancing the production of statistics.
The webinar was not just a one-way presentation but an interactive session. It presented the status of the DAS development, give an insight into the available features, and provide a demo with different use cases.
