Q: How should I write alt text for images?
A: Write alt text that is concise and descriptive, including any text in the image. For complex images, provide a short description and mention where to find an alternative version of the content, such as a data table or long description. For charts, you may include in the alternative description the trend in the graph, and/or the type of chart (at the end of the description as it is purely visual).

![]() AltText: The population variance formula is a mathematical equation used to calculate the average of the squared differences from the mean in a population, it is calculated by taking the sum of the squared differences between each data point and the mean, dividing by the total number of data points, the formula includes the Greek letter sigma, representing the population variance, the Greek letter mu, representing the population mean, and a summation sign, representing the sum of the squared differences, it is a fundamental concept in statistics and is used to measure the spread or dispersion of a population, the formula is often used in data analysis and statistical modeling, and is a key component of many statistical tests and procedures. |

![]() AltText: Formula for population variance: σ² = (Σ(xᵢ - μ)²) / N. The formula shows the population variance, σ², calculated as the sum of the squared differences between each data point, xᵢ, and the population mean, μ, divided by the total number of data points, N. |
