Encuesta sobre el gasto de los hogares en educación

Abstract

The Household Expenditure on Education Survey (EGHE) is a multi-year statistical study whose main objective is to understand the scope, characteristics, and distribution of household spending on education.

The survey provides information on various types of educational services (enrollment and classes, complementary services, extracurricular activities, etc.) as well as on goods purchased for educational purposes (textbooks, school uniforms and footwear, computer products, etc.).

This survey was conducted for the first time in 2007 as a module within the Household Budget Survey. In 2011/2012, it was carried out for the second time, this time as an independent survey. The data for the 2019-2020 academic year, therefore, correspond to the third edition of this study.
