Abstract
The purpose of the survey is to obtain information on the research and development work performed by enterprises and their volumes, the scientific staff employed in the enterprise, and the expenditure on research and development work.
The results gathered, describing the situation in the country as a whole, represent significant support for research and development policy-making and monitoring. The obtained indicators are used to develop measures to boost economic growth, including stimulating investment in research and development, as well as promoting Latvia's competitiveness at European and international level.
