Full name of the series in original language

POLS Wonen - Woningbehoefte onderzoek (WBO)

Abstract

The WBO was a large-scale, nationwide survey about living with which housing market developments were screened periodically. The study was aimed at gaining insight into the household composition, housing situation, the residential requirements and the relocation behavior of the Dutch population. For this purpose, information is collected about the housing situation, the living expenses and the realized and desired removals. In addition, the WBO contains information on the socio-demographic and socio-economic characteristics of households. There are several questionnaires for head residents, residents and members of households. From 1997 to 1999 the WBO was an independent module of POLS, the Standing Research on the Living Conditions of the CBS. In 2002 the WBO was carried out by a consortium that is directly supervised by the Directorate General Housing of the Ministry of Environment, and after 2002 the WBO was succeeded by the Housing Research Netherlands (WoON), which is integrated in the Qualitative Property Registry (KWR).
