Abstract

Statistical Survey on the Usage of ICT in Households (annual): https://open-data-ls-osp-sdg.hub.arcgis.com/pages/Metinis%20informacini%C5%B3%20technologij%C5%B3%20naudojimo%20nam%C5%B3%20%C5%ABkiuose%20statistinis%20tyrimas

The purpose of the survey is to assess provision of the population with computers, internet access at home; the frequency and purposes of using computers and the Internet; using mobile devices, e-government services, online data repositories, e- trade; computer literacy, IT security, barriers to IT and Internet use.

The main users of statistical information are the country’s state institutions and bodies, the European Commission, the media, politicians, business and scientific representatives, students, etc.

Parameters assessed at the household level:

• providing households with computers;
• Internet access at home; method of connecting to the Internet;
• reasons for not having Internet access.

Parameters assessed at the individual level:

• frequency of computer use;
• frequency of the Internet use, goals;
• using mobile devices for Internet access;
• using e-government services;
• using e-commerce, reasons for non-use;
• using cloud computing;
• IT security;
• e-skills.

The survey is carried out by the Living Standard and Employment Statistics Division

Time method

An independent survey by interviewing households and persons living in them has been carried out since 2003. The survey is carried out using the sampling method.

Time period

The survey period, depending on the topic, can be the first quarter of the year or 12 months.
