Abstract

Innovation activities is a survey that has been carried out since 2006 (reference year) in Croatia. The survey has neem conducted in the Central Bureau of Statistics as a part of the Multi-Beneficiary Phare Programme and was completely in accordance with the survey entitled “ The Community Innovation Survey”, which is conducted in the European Union every two years. The Community Innovation Survey (CIS) is a survey of innovation activity in enterprises. The harmonised survey is designed to provide information on the innovativeness of sectors by type of enterprises, on the different types of innovation and on various aspects of the development of an innovation, such as the objectives, the sources of information, the public funding or the expenditures. According to this survey, innovative enterprises are defined as enterprises that introduced in the reporting period a product or a process innovation, organisational or marketing innovation.
