Abstract

The Household Budget Survey (HBS) provides valuable indicators on the income and expenditures of citizens in Switzerland.
Until 2005, this survey was called the Income and Consumption Survey (ICS) / Einkommens- und Verbrauchserhebung (EVE) / Enquête sur les revenus et la consommation (ERC) / Indagine sul reddito e sul consumo (IRC).
Through modules, supplementary questions are also addressed at the end of the core survey: 'Living Conditions' (2002), 'Travel Behaviour' (2003), 'ICT Usage in Households and by Individuals' (2004).
