Abstract

The objective of the survey is to determine the number of employees by groups of basic salaries and average gross salaries earned, of gross average earnings by gender, economic activity and groups of occupations, having as reference period the month October.

According to the Decision CAM nr.11/2002 to reduce the respondents' burden and avoid redundant data collection, the questionnaire structure was established alternate for the statistical survey on salaries in October, as follows:

Three consecutive years - as developed (eg 2007, 2008, 2009): Chapter I - Distribution of employees by salary groups; Chapter II - Number of employees, gross amount due and working time, major groups of occupations and occupations in October;
The fourth year - short form (eg 2006, 2010): Chapter I - Distribution of employees by salary groups; Chapter II - Number of employees on 31 October major groups of occupations.

The decision was based on the fact that every four years, according to the European regulations, the Structure of Earnings Survey (SES) is carried out, that provides information on earnings by occupation for October (the same as provided by Chapter II of the form S2 developed, used for three consecutive years).
