The next EMOS workshop will take place on 20-21 November 2025 in Bergamo, Italy, hosted by the University of Bergamo. The workshop is organised by Eurostat with the support of a contractor.

The workshop programme has been updated and is now available on the workshop website. The focus topic of this year’s workshop is New data sources and technologies for official statistics. We are pleased to announce that the keynote speech will be delivered by Ines Hiverlet, Data Engineer at INSEE, entitled Onyxia: a data science platform for official statistics and academia.

This workshop is expected to gather around 100 representatives from EMOS-labelled master’s programmes, official statistics-producing organisations, EMOS Board members, EMOS students and graduates, representatives from the European Central Bank, national central banks, international organisations, the European Innovation Network and Eurostat. The aim is to foster the exchange of experiences with a focus on new data sources and technologies for official statistics.

Please note that, as this is an invitation-only event, the registration link has been communicated in personal invitations. We will keep you informed of further updates and will share the results of the workshop on the EMOS website.
