We are pleased to announce the following updates regarding the SDMX Converter:
Public Release of Version 10.6.2
Version 10.6.2 has been publicly released and is now available for download from CIRCABC. Version 10.6.2 is also the version available in Eurostat’s instance of the SDMX Converter Web App.
Version 10.6.2 is the first SDMX Converter public release that includes support for new SDMX 3.0 features and formats. Information on the new SDMX 3.0 features included was provided at the webinar we organised on this topic in July of this year (material and recording are available on CIRCABC). We remind you that, while SDMX 3.0 features and formats are now supported by the application, Eurostat will only start accepting SDMX 3.0 formats and implementing SDMX 3.0 features starting from next year.
We encourage you to explore the new features included in this latest public release.
Converter Now Available as a Docker Image
With the release of version 10.6.2, a Docker image of the Converter is now available for use. The availability of Docker images can facilitate local deployments / installations of the SDMX Converter. If you are interested in utilizing this Docker image, please feel free to reach out to us and we’ll be happy to provide you with more information on how to access it.
Planned phase-out of public STRUVAL Web Service
For several years, Eurostat has hosted a public instance of the STRUVAL web service. The purpose of this public instance was to allow users to use or test the STRUVAL web service without having to deploy it locally. Due to low usage and the introduction of the new Docker image, we plan phase out the public STRUVAL web service by the end of this year. If this transition poses any challenges or if you foresee any issues, please let us know as soon as possible so we can address any concerns.
