The WP2 aims to share the achievements made to date and underscore the untapped potential in the field of AI/ML for Official Statistics. WP2 focuses on valorizing results attained by National Statistical Institutes (NSIs) through AI/ML techniques, with the aim of disseminating this knowledge to the statistical community and external stakeholders. This WP will communicate a comprehensive overview of available solutions, elevating awareness about AI/ML's capacity to enhance official statistics and meet stakeholders' information requirements.
Another crucial objective of WP2 is to foster and reinforce interdependencies among all work packages, as shown in the figure below, and amplify the outcomes of each. Achieving this necessitates enhancing internal communication levels and consolidating all AI/ML-related results to cultivate an active community on these matters.
The planned activities are multifaceted and aimed at promoting collaboration, knowledge sharing, and community interaction within the AI/ML domain. One key strategy is using this open platform to facilitate interaction and the exchange of knowledge and information among stakeholders. Additionally, WP2 will engage with European and international stakeholders active in the AI/ML space, fostering partnerships and leveraging expertise. Regular events, including internal workshops, participation in conferences, funathons, webinars and other collaborative activities, will be organised to facilitate fruitful exchanges between parties. Dissemination events will be strategically planned in conjunction with the release of different WPs to maximize impact and outreach.
Furthermore, WP2 will explore the role of relevant stakeholders in improving AI/ML models, in line with citizen science approaches.
In essence, WP2 serves as the linchpin for communication, collaboration, and knowledge dissemination within the project, playing a pivotal role in maximizing the impact and benefits of AI/ML advancements for the statistical community and stakeholders.
