Abstract

The structure and level of average gross monthly and hourly wages and salaries and structure of wages and salaries by demographic and occupational characteristic.

Information from the survey enabled observation of the structure and the level of monthly gross earnings of natural persons broken by such characteristics as: gender, age, education level, work seniority, performed occupation and characteristics of work establishments of these people, such as: the kind of activity, ownership sector, and the size of establishment.

The survey is carried out with biennial periodicity with the use of the Z-12 questionnaire; it is a sample survey and it covers entities of national economy with the number of the employed exceeding 9 persons. The data concern full- and part-time employed persons who worked the whole month in October.

The results of the survey on the structure of earnings as the only source allow analysis on differentiation of earnings (average monthly and hourly ones) and their structure by characteristics of natural persons, such as: sex, age, education level, work seniority, performed occupation, as well as characteristics of work establishments of these people, such as: the kind of activity, ownership sector, and the size of the establishment and its location. The survey results allow also characteristic of the structure of the employed by the above-mentioned characteristics. There are also prepared distributions of the employed by the level of earnings, as well as basic measures of earnings differentiation.
