Abstract

The Household Budget Survey was executed by Statistics Portugal, with the aim of estimating indicators of income distribution, the level and structure of expenditures of private households residing in Portugal, and its well-being indicators.

Statistical information reflects five different characteristics of private households residing in Portugal: distribution of the number of private households; average annual expenditure by private household; average income by private household; adult equivalent income, poverty and inequality; and a few other well-being indicators.
