Abstract

The analysis is a cohort analysis of students with upper secondary school leaving certificate and their further education in the Danish school system. (Adult education is not included).

The present statistic which is based on CPR numbers, was first collected in 1973. Before 1973 the Ministry of Education collected the information at class level. The first cohort analysis was published in March 1978 with information regarding pupils who graduated in 1973/1974.

The analysis includes only students at Danish schools. The school has to be approved by the Department of Education. The analysis includes all students with upper secondary school leaving certificates.

The analysis describes the status of students with upper secondary school leaving certificates 3 months to 19 years and 3 months after graduation.

Variables: Students with upper secondary school leaving certificate, status regarding education in the following years, sex, age, and which institution the student graduated from.
