Abstract

The main objective of the survey regarding continuing vocational training in Romania (FORPRO1) is to provide information concerning: the programmes drawn up by enterprises for the continuing vocational training (CVT) of their persons employed, the volume and characteristics of CVT; the size of initial vocational training (IVT).

The survey provides information on all types of vocational training that the persons employed by an enterprise are involved in, but also on the initial training of the young people who has not yet a professional qualification, such as apprentices and pupils of vocational schools and students of colleges and universities who are doing their practice in enterprises.

The FORPRO survey covers the enterprises with legal status, irrespective of the ownership type and the legal form of organisation. The survey includes the enterprises whose main activity is one of the following CANE Rev. 2 (Classification of Activities in the National Economy) activities.

The survey sample comprised the enterprises with 10 or more employees. The sample was designed in order to provide representative data, broken down by three enterprise size classes according to the number of persons employed: 10-49 persons employed; 50-249 persons employed; 250 persons employed and over.
