12th European Conference on Quality in Official Statistics (#Q2026) - 3 to 5 June 2026
We are warmly inviting you to the flagship conference of European statistics in 2026 – European Conference on Quality in Official Statistics, on behalf of the Croatian Bureau of Statistics and Eurostat.
Q2026 will include keynote lectures by leading experts and panel discussions, focusing on the following topics:
- Institutional framework for quality management in official statistics
- New trends and challenges for quality in official statistics
- Quality as a basis for creating and maintaining trust of users
The Conference will take place from 3 to 5 June 2026 in the Adriatic coastal city of Šibenik, Croatia. Given the significance of statistical capacity-building, a range of interesting and educational one-day training sessions will be offered on 2 June.
This prestigious traditional event aims to bring together statisticians, researchers, experts and professionals from various fields to discuss the latest advancements and best practices in ensuring quality in official statistics who are seeking to share insights and collectively shape the future of our respective fields.
Q2026 will explore institutional frameworks supporting quality management in official statistics. The conference topics aim to cover the diversity of challenges faced by the statistical community, addressing most relevant aspects of quality. It will highlight the challenges and opportunities in maintaining the quality of official statistics amid rising use of artificial intelligence. The conference will emphasise quality as essential for building and maintaining user trust.
We encourage you to submit abstracts relating to the conference topics by 7 January 2026. Please note other important dates for the preparation of your participation including the registration closing date on 5 May 2026.
