Target Group | Statisticians dealing with compilation of annual energy statistics and who will deal with the new Hydrogen questionnaire wishing to understand better the system and overall framework of energy statistics. | Statisticians compiling biennial biomass statistics. |

Objective(s) | The course will introduce the theoretical and practical knowledge of energy statistics in relation to the European Union legal framework (Regulation (EC) No 1099/2008 and its implementation. The main focus will be on concepts, definitions, methodology and data validation on annual questionnaires (including discussions on issues observed in practice). The course will focus on aiming at improving the quality aspects of annual energy statistics and facilitate the learning processes on the Annual Hydrogen questionnaire. | The course will present the theoretical and practical knowledge of energy statistics in relation to biomass under REGULATION (EU) 2018/1999 OF THE EUROPEAN PARLIAMENT AND OF THE COUNCIL. The focus will be on concepts, definitions, methodology and data validation (including discussions on issues observed in practice). |
Contents | Annual questionnaire for Hydrogen. | Biennial questionnaire for Biomass. |
Expected Outcome | The course will focus also on facilitating the learning processes on the Annual Hydrogen questionnaire. There will be a mixture of presentation and practical work for participants to reinforce their learning. | A clear understanding of to-dos and not-to-dos on collecting data and filling in the biomass questionnaire. |
